Wixom, Mich.—Sterling Technologies, one of the premier suppliers for mobile OEM and automotive service parts markets in the Midwest region, expanded its operations by moving from a smaller facility in Commerce Township to one double its size in Wixom on July 16, 2018. The move, according to President Dan Honer, was strategic and customer-focused.

“The new facility in Wixom increased our square footage by more than double what we had in the old facility,” says Honer. “The building we’re in now is 100 percent climate-controlled, and now we have adequate space to streamline our processes and work more efficiently.”

The move wasn’t just about outgrowing the previous building in Commerce Township, though. It’s about reflecting Sterling Technologies’ values and goals in the workplace.

“We’ll be able to expand our capacity and increase our supply capabilities, but the bottom line is that we moved so we could better serve our customers,” says Don Lupo, VP of Sales and Business Development. Sterling Technologies currently designs and manufactures innovative electronic, electro-mechanical solutions and assemblies for the automotive and heavy equipment industries.

The facility, which is located at 28024 Center Oaks Court in Wixom, provides the company with enough capacity for increased manufacturing, customer support and design.

“We really outgrew the old facility in Commerce,” says Lupo. “It was restricting our growth and limited our output capacity, but here we’re able to address our customers’ needs much more efficiently and effectively.”
